Jesús Estevez studied fine arts at Ottawa University in the mid 80's and has had dozens of shows in Ottawa, Toronto and Spain. He is now maintaining a year-round gallery of his oil paintings. In 2009, his show, called God's Country, was featured at the Belleville Public Library - John M. Parrott Art Gallery and consisted of architecture and landscapes in Hastings County. Selections from his catalogue of work can be viewed below.

His art course consists of art history, and the execution of an oil painting copying the great masters until the student is ready to do their own themes. He teaches all aspects of oil painting from draughtsmanship to colour mixing and brush techniques. Each session lasts 2 hours in classes of 5 students or less. A student can sign up and begin at any time.
